COVID passes no longer required in Helsinki Congress Paasitorni as of 7th February 2022

The government has decided to ease the restrictions on restaurants so that as of 14 February, restaurants can serve alcoholic beverages until 23.00 and stay open until midnight. If the disease situation continues to develop favourably and the sustainability of the health care system is not under threat, restrictions on restaurants will be lifted completely as of 1 March.

The government will also recommend that the competent regional authorities lift all restrictions on the number of people and the number of seats at events as of 14 February. The non-use of the current type of COVID pass will be extended.

Since the end of November, Helsinki Congress Paasitorni has been checking the validity of visitors’ COVID passes at all events. As of 7 February, we will no longer require a COVID pass from persons visiting Paasitorni.

The government has decided to continue preparing legislation on the extension and voluntary use of the COVID pass so that it will be ready in case the epidemic situation worsens due to a new virus variant, for example. Helsinki Congress Paasitorni is monitoring the situation, and we are ready to reintroduce the COVID pass if necessary.
