Services for disabled visitors
Arriving at the Paasitorni Congress Centre
Access to the congress centre for disabled visitors is by ramp through the entrance to Restaurant Paasi, next to the main entrance to the conference centre (Paasivuorenkatu 5 A). Please contact conference services on entering the building (tel. +358 (09) 7089 613) Our staff will be happy to help.
Paasitorni does not have its own visitor parking. More information about parking in the area is available here.
Accessibility inside the building
Paasitorni is accessible to disabled visitors with the exception of four meeting rooms (the Library, the Boardroom, room 501 and Huippu). Room 501 will be accessible by lift once the hotel construction work is complete in the end of summer 2012.
There are two lifts in the building. Lift 1 runs between floor 1 (vestibule), floor 2 (Restaurant Paasi), and floors 3 and 4. Lift 2 runs between floor 1 (vestibule) and floors 1 ½ , 2 ½ (Congress Hall) and 3 ½. To move from Restaurant Paasi to the Congress Hall, for example, you will need to take lift 1 to the vestibule and then take lift 2 to floor 2 ½.
Toilets
Paasitorni has disabled toilets on floor 2 ½ (Congress Hall) and floor 3.
Congress Hall and Siltasaari Hall
Disabled speakers, panellists and other performers can easily access the Congress Hall stage using a wheelchair lift. In the Siltasaari Hall access to the stage is by means of a ramp.
Services for other groups with special needs
Induction loops are installed in the Congress Hall.
Visitors who require a special diet will receive a full meal and other catering if booked in advance.
