Paasitorni’s services are set to expand considerably with the opening of Scandic Paasi, a new 170-room individually designed hotel adjoining the conference centre, in the end of summer 2012. With its superb design respecting Paasitorni’s traditional architecture, this hotel will welcome conference and congress guests, business travellers and leisure travellers.

The hotel rooms are located in three adjoining buildings: an extension epitomising Paasitorni’s 1920s Classicism, an adjoining 1950s building and a modern new building currently being built on a peaceful courtyard. The hotel entrance is on Paasivuorenkatu next to the conference centre entrance.

Scandic Paasi will be Scandic’s new flagship hotel in Helsinki. The hotel is steeped in the history of the area and tells the fascinating story of all the influential people in its past. Rooms with character take guests on a journey through time to the 1920s, 1950s and 2010s.

At Scandic Paasi individuality is all about making guests’ needs paramount in the exceptionally wide range of rooms to choose from. The majority of the 170 rooms are twin rooms with separate beds suitable for guests attending major events. The hotel has rooms with saunas, showers and baths, options for families and disabled guests as well as a suite. And unusually for central Helsinki, some rooms also have balconies.

Hotel guests will enjoy breakfast in the new restaurant Paasin Kellari in the new building in the courtyard. Paasitorni offers a wide range of options for dining and socialising while Scandic Paasi’s lobby bar is another comfortable place for guests to relax.

There is direct access from the hotel to the conference centre and the building’s restaurants via the inner courtyard and through the buildings themselves.
